Earf and Calvereena are on the front of the boat fishing, Jeffers has his alien poles he got previously on pole holders with lines cast off the boat. Earf is fishing with a line tied to the end of the spear he bought at the market. Jeffers can be seen kneeling down writing frantically into the notebook.

You may laugh, but this spear works two fold. Use the line to reel them end then the spear tip to stab them!
