well, as you may or may not know the three of us are comic representations of characters from a canceled comic called ‘y2cl’, and those characters are comic representations of the creator and his real life friends. So in the first story arc of the original ‘y2cl’ comic our characters...well actually the ‘y2cl’ versions of you two were not in the comic yet at this point, but will probably be included in the inevitable reboot,

we all, well me, well not me, but the other me, and the other guys were transported to the magical forest land of Schnea ruled by Bernard's leader, Larry T. Cob. An evil one armed bunny rabbit with an army of spring bots that were at war with the fairy people and the ninjas. I know this because it’s convenient for the plot for there to me to know to explain ghtis. So in short, or well in rather long, THAT is how I know who bernard is and he knows me. Makes sense?
