My heart is on display and all say it’s too much.
Entrails reach out to you but it’s never quite enough.
I wrap my feelings in this armor to avoid pain.
You left this mark, this scar, this stain.
You’ve spent our time pushing me down.
I’ve become numb
to your voice,
to the sound.
To the
words you
use
to destroy
my thoughts.
To the

I should
have fought.
In the end, I love you. In the end, I want you.
