I honestly don't remember what inspired this, other than the timeless joy of pointing out that Columbus was an absolute dumpster fire of a human being who was a rapist, murder, and giant piece of shit.
Though in fairness, if sixteenth-century explorers had stumbled into the Indiana State Fair instead of the Caribbean, history probably would have been much weirder and possibly feature significantly more deep-fried butter.
