Once I squeezed the trigger and felt the vibrations of the bullet spiral down the barrel of the gun, rip through my skin, tear open my skull, tunnel through my brain then push back out the other side in an explosive force of free will, my soul felt lifted to a new level.

It felt as if I was leaving my body to go to a new plain of existence. I felt as though I was floating in the air. Turns out I was. I just shot myself in the head none-the-less, so I’m more than likely dead. Looking down at my blood soaked life-less body confirming this fact. The only problem was I knew what had happened. I was fully aware that I had just killed myself, but I was still here, in some sorts, on the earth I wanted to leave. The Earth I feared and hated with all my might, still here, still aware of everything around me, just a whole lot lighter, and floating, above my dead body.
