So I saw Man of Steel last night. A movie I was waiting for forever and I'm going to break character here. This is me, the writer speaking through Jonly to talk about this movie.

Originally I enjoyed this movie, even went on a few podcasts to defend the destruction of Metropolis and the killing of Zod.

But the more I thought about this movie the more I analyzed it and realized just how much it misses everything about Superman that makes him great. He would have saved his dad. He would not have wrapped the semi around the pole. He would have taken the fight outside the city to avoid casualties, and so much more.

Henry Cavil will always be an amazing choice to play Superman, but the writer and director of this, and the subsequent movies, just don't understand Superman. Stop making Superman movies that are world ending. His strength is not in his muscles, it's in his love for humanity. Ok, back in character now. Thanks for listening.
