The one thing that does irritate me about the idea of Batman v Superman is that I disagree that they would actually fight.

I don't subscribe to the logiv that they wouldn't be friends, or at least that they wouldn't trust each other.

In FIVE DAYS, well FOUR DAYS since I bought tickets to the preview night, we will see Batman and Superman on the big screen together! We will ALSO see Wonder Woman on the big screen for the first time ever! To that extent, have you seen how incredibly hard it has been to find a wonder Woman action figure? I’ve seen more Aquaman figures that I have Wonder Woman! It’s insane! Speaking of Aquaman, what is up with all the merchandise for him? He’s being billed as just having a cameo in the film. So if he just has a cameo in the movie why does he have an action figure, a multi-verse figure, a pop, a dorbz and a bunch of other shit in the merch they are pumping out for this movie? It seems like they put out more Aquaman than Wonder Woman merch, which is just insane to me since she actually IS in the movie!

One of my biggest fears for this movie will try to hard to make it dark and gritty. I feel like they might miss the point, and the opportunity, of how to portray Superman, and Batman for that matter. We have these super iconic characters, that have long been established in the minds of the comic world. Sure, there have been updates and changes to the mythos, but still overall the core stays true.

Superman is always optimistic and fights for the human race, his adopted planet that he holds so dear. A mark they missed in Man Of Steel with all the destruction. Superman, even a young Superman, would be worried about all the bystanders and move the fight outside the city as much as he could. I LOVE Henry Cavil as Superman, I just think they need to take into his humanity more and his love for life.

I feel like Batman has become a more and more dark character over the years. As a comic lover I enjoy the risk in taking a character and doing darker tones and imagery within the story telling. But sometimes, it just kind of feels like they are going darker and grittier just to go darker and grittier. Someone once said “if you keep getting grittier then eventually you just have dirt.” I’m not sure I 100 percent agree that Batman should be such a dark and gritty character. by nature he is darker than Superman, sure, that’s fine. but there should not be a time were a parent is concerned about their kids reading or watching a Batman book,
movie or anything.

It just seems if you’ve gone too gritty with a Batman / Superman movie then you’ve done something wrong.
